Crowfoot threaded his way through the gathered cats until he was sitting next to his mate, Stormfeather. "Do you feel it?" he whispered to her. Stormfeather nodded. Every cat at the gathering was nervous. All through the air was the feeling that SOMETHING was going to happen. Crowfoot opened his mouth to speak again, but Stormfeather flicked her tail across his mouth. "Shhh. The gathering's about to start."

Swiftstar padded along, some of warriors having gone ahead of him. He had an uneasy feeling about tonight. His deep emerald eyes reflected a sense of tension and worry... Something just doesn't feel right... And of all nights, it had to be tonight... He heaved his chest in a heavy sigh as he stood on the outskrits of the gathering. Fourtrees towered over the rocks where he would soon join the other three leaders of the other three clans. He knew he shouldn't be staying here too long. But the uneasy feelings that ruffled his thick mackerel tabby fur seemed to make it ten time more difficult to move his paws than it ought to be, or ever was any other day. His thoughts churned within his mind as several other cats moved past him, not seeming to notice him, or care. Some cats enjoyed gatherings, whilst others only came for the sake of the clan, and in hopes of gaining information about the other clans...
Amidst the many cats, he spotted the one he always longed to see. The color-less pelt of Iceshadow... Though she didn't have the most exotic pelt, her movements, and most of all, those deep blue, beautiful eyes of hers made her stand out from the rest of the she-cats. He could never mistake another for her. Just seeing her lifed the weight from his paws, and so he padded down the small hill, and into the crowd of cats. He brushed past her silken fur, giving her a passing smile, emerald eyes shining with a silent apology as he made his way toward the boulder where he would sit. Already, the other leaders were here. But he made no small talk, knowing that it had been long enough, and that it was time to start the gathering. And so, powerful, well defined muscles rippling beneath his fur, he leapt unto the boulder, making it atop with swift ease and grace. He shifted and settled upon his haunches, wrapping his tail about his left flank, the tip settling atop his white paws as he awaited for one of the leaders to start the gathering.

Quailpaw started walking into the clearing smelling all the different cats. She was searching for her mentor Adderstrike. She couldnt tell where he was, but she continued to look. As she was walking past some cats obviously not from her clan she noticed that the moon was high in the sky. Tonights gathering should be a good one. Finding a spot next to a group of Shadowclan cats she sat down and waited for the gathering to begin.

The darkness of the night made Spiritfur's mostly ivory pelt turn silver, the already silver-tipped places upon his thick pelt, when touched by the silver moon, appeared to be wet silver. The silver light making his forest green eyes shimmer like the darkest if emerald gems. He was quite the sight when it came to nightfall. And his llittle brother, Soupelt was no exception during the time when Starclan becomes visible. His brother padded abreast with him, his snow white pelt also appearing to be silver. But his brother's eyes, they were perhaps the deepest gold that Spiritfur had ever seen, other than their mother's. At night, Soulpelt's eyes shimmered and glowed, like they could see right through another's soul. But they danced with excitement and happiness, almost always. Whilst Spiritfur always had the serious, ambitious, strong light. But that didn't make him a miserable, antisocial cat. But few knew the kinder, gentler side of Spiritfur.
Her felt his brother speed up, and so he did the same. His pelt rippled, his muscles rather bulky as well as lean. There was fat in places it was needed, but Spiritfur was practically all muscle, though his mind was clever and sharp. He spent countless hours swimming against the currents of the river, and many more hunting on the grounds of Riverclan territory. he was always doing something for his clan, and keeping himself in tiptop shape, ready for any kind of battle or fight that broke the peace of his clan. His brother was smaller, and more limber than muscular, but Spiritfur knew his brother could handle a cat twice his size, if it meant defending Riverclan. And that brought a great pride in Spiritfur. " I can't wait! This is going to be so exciting! My first gathering...", Soulpelt's words rang in his ears. Spiritfur smiled.
" Just remember, don't share anything about the welfare of Riverclan with any others. And besides, we're a bit late. Odds are they're nearly ready to start."
The brothers broke through the bushes, and sure enough, all four leaders were present, and many other cats as well. Spiritfur turned to see his little brother's eyes glowing with amazement at the many cats in the clearing. Spiritfur nudged him, and they sat together beside a she-cat that smelled of Thunderclan. Her fur was, no doubt, beautiful. Spiritfur studied her. She had a seal colored face, but the rest of her was a beautiful, silken white. But his forest green eyes turned to the rocks, and his brother and himself awaited for the gathering to begin.
Roseheart had been settled for quite some time, having arrived mere seconds after the Winclan leader had. She sat upon her haunches, wrapping her feathery tail over her paws, the tip swaying with calmness as he let her glacier blue eyes scan the area. So many cats... But she had been to gatherings before. And so, it was nothing new or exciting. No one joined her to talk, but she was plenty happy sitting by herself, watching others mingle. She had spotted Maplepaw, but the young medicine cat apprentice was with several others from different clans, and Roseheart didn't wish to crowd the others. By the looks of things, there was a cat with Maplepaw that was un-nerved. But Roseheart turned her attention away fromt he group as a mackerel tabby tom, large and muscluar yet limber and swift made his way toward the boulders. No doubt it was the Windclan leader, Swiftstar. He was as she heard he was. A rather dashing tom, indeed. But there were many impressive cats here.
She then heard the soft padding of a couple cats making their way toward her. She turned her head to see a large silver tinged and white tom with the darkest green eyes she's seen, joined by a smaller white tom with amazing golden eyes. She offered a small smile, but the tom only studied her before turning his eyes to the Windclan leader atop the boulder. And so, unhurt by not being acknowledged, she turned her gaze to the boulders as well, waiting for the gathering to start, just as everyone else was.

[H.A.I.L] Hailpelt looked over at Spiritfur and Soulpelt, two tom cats from her Clan. She had met Spiritfur once before; he was quite an interesting cat. But she had never encountered Soupelt before, though he was a popular cat in the Clan. Smiling, the she-cat stood and walked over to Spiritfur, who was watching a pretty ThunderClan she-cat.
She flicked her tail over his shoulders and whispered, "Chasing ThunderClan she-cats now are we, Spiritfur?" Her voice was heavy with teasing and her amber eyes glinted mischievously at the tom. She settled down slightly apart from the fellow warrior and awaited his reply, gazing up at the Great Rock.

Spiritfur would be the last cat who would ever even let the thought of fobidden affairs cross his mind for even the smallest second. Sure, he could be described as fairly ambitious, but he wasn't in the least obnoxious, nor was he of ill intentions and selfish wants. He simply wanted the best for his clan, believing whole-heartedly that they deserved the best from him. And the only way he could provide his clan was to ensure that he remained in shape, and did everything he could to the best of his abilities. And if he failed in doing so? He would better himself at whatever he felt he could have done better. And one could be sure he'd do it time and time again until he was satisfied with how he did his tasks. His little brother often thought him weird, taunting Spiritfur at how he never had fun, and was always working. But Spiritfur, though it was rare of him, would have his moments where he would wrestle with his brother near the river, like they were kits, despite obviously being from two different litters. The sad thing was that Spiritfur had been born with a brother, but his littermate had been born dead. And sometimes, Spiritfur would think that it was Soulpelt that had been born dead with him, but re-born. But that was silly none-sense, as he no classified this rediculous and impossible thought.
He felt the touch of a tail across his powerful shoulder, and turned to see Hailpelt. She was a beautiful she-cat. And his brother thought him mouse-brained that Spiritfur wasn't flirting or courting her. But Spiritfur's simple remark was: There isn't time for that sort of thing. But half of Spiritfur wanted to know what love felt like... But at the same time, his other half, the one that was all any other than his brother could see, was the buisness-like, serious tom that he was known to be. He twitched his whiskers, eyes shining in amusement.
" Don't be silly, Hailpelt."
And then, Soulpelt peeks from around Spiritfur, smiling widely at Hailpelt, with that gleam in his golden eyes that Spiritfur dreaded, foreseeing what he was going to say. "Besides, you should know Spiritfur only has feelings for you, Hailpelt.", his little brother's words rang out. Spiritfur shot a glance at Soulpelt, he was obviously pleased with himself. He felt his whiskers burning slightly, but simply nudged his brother hard, though making sure he didn't bump the thunderclan she-cat. But his little brother knew he was hiding something, and a new look flashed across his eyes. A flash that told Spiritfur that this wasn't even tghe worst part, which was bound to come in the near future. He turned back to Hailpelt, and shrugged, not really knowing what else to do. He really couldn't deny he had feelings for her, because in all truth, he did. He admired her for her loyalty to the clan. And she was a great hunter... But perhaps one reason Spiritfur never courted her was for a hidden fact that he hardly knew how to flirt or court a she-cat. Let alone someone like Hailpelt....

[H.A.I.L] "Don't be silly Hailpelt." Hailpelt laughed, her amber eyes sparkling with the musical sound. The pale orbs gazed curiously at Spiritfur as he looked to Soulpelt, who was opening his mouth to speak. His words made Hailpelt feel oddly happy, making her giggle once more. "Besides, you should know Spiritfur only has feelings for you, Hailpelt." Once again the she-cat's gaze drifted to the muscular silver cat, and she could tell he was trying not to blush.
She nudged Spiritfur and laughed again. "Lighten up Spiritfur. It was just a joke....wasn't it?" Eyes twinkling, the grey Riverclanner looked at Soulpelt and winked. Outside she seemed playful and mischievous at the time, but on the inside she was wondering what she really felt for Spiritfur. His eyes, so brilliantly green, his voice, charming to the Hailpelt's ears. Maybe she did love him...but she didn't know what it felt like, so she didn't really, right?

Spiritfur felkt Soulpelt lower himself closer to the ground, in a comfortable crouch as he shifted his gaze from Spiritfur and Hailpelt to the Great Rock. Spiritfur took in a gulp of air, releasing it slowly. He needed to gain control of himself... All this thinking of how to court Hailpelt, and whether or not his little brother was right about him having feelings for Hailpelt was begining to make him question himself, and at the moment, there were more important things to think about, like what was going to be said at tonight's gathering, and why several cats had a worried look on their faces. And just as he was about to gain control of his mind, a single question threw it all out of whack again. What did Hailpelt feel? But again, he was quick to get himself back under control before he began to think about it too seriously. It was not the time and place. Perhaps when they returned back to camp, he would have some time to get things sorted out.
He then heard Hailpelt speak, but this time, he remained calm and smiled at her. But it soon faded as he realized he had no idea what to say in reply. Was it a joke? Or did he really have feelings for her...? What should he do or say without looking like an idiot? So, he smiled again, and shrugged, letting his eyes dance with amusement, hiding whatever troubles might show through his forest green eyes. He didn't really feel like thinking all this out right now, and answering that question. If she didn't have feelings for him, and he did for her, then it would only be a disaster in saying he did. He would be the one that got hurt, and with the clan needing his full services, he wasn't about to let himself slacken with the tasks. So, letting his smile linger for a few moments more, he turned and looked toward the Great Rock. Odds were, one of the leaders was bound to start the gathering really soon.

Unfortunately, the SkyClan leader is inactive and unable to post in this gathering. After the activity check is completed, that position may likely re-open for tryouts. So anyone who might want that position, it's first come first served after the activity check is completed. ---> Locked and Moved to the Recycle Bin.
