Quiet Wails of suffering cats called the name of Sandshadow, first seeming like only the chilly midnight wind, but then growing clearer and louder. Leaves twist and turned slowly taking the shape of which faintly looked like the forms of cats, barely visible by the glowing yellow full moon. Sandshadow's body was tense and stiff and hunched in a ball, shaking. Her beautiful eyes were closed shut. She stuttered "G-go away...." but the yearns grew even louder. Suddenly a lone, soft mew echoed through through the dark forest and Sandshadow's glittering dull yellow eyes flew open and her hind legs pushed off the dry grass.
The she-cat's spine curled and straightened as her muscles tightened and released. Sandstorm suddenly skidded to a stop and perked her ears. Her paws gripped the ground like she was gripping it for dear life. The cat could feel the earth as moles dug through the ground and tree roots buried further. Again, she closed her eyes and listened with deep intensity. Then, the soft mew danced off the dull trees filling Sandshadow's ears, making her light body glide through the forest, joined by ongoing unknown whispers.
"Follow" the earth seemed to chime as, for once in Shandshadow's life she forgot about her pain and hate and let her beautiful body flow with the wind and the dancing leaves and whispers of once pain and agony, now relief and comfort. But clouds soon rumbled in the distance, signaling soon to come rain and the once star-lit night was now shadowed with dark clouds as SandShadow came closer to the blood pool which was blanketed by fog. Right behind the the blood pool stood a figure made out of dark fog, that took the form of an unknown cat. Sandshadow stood in awe and her blood lust and hate began to seep into her soul again. The dark figure seemed to lift his head and there glowed two orange holes, representing gleaming eyes. Only one word crept through this cat's mouth-less face...." Revenge."
SandShadow's black heart skipped a beat as the cold blooded words reached her mind and her feline mouth curved into a menacing smile. She lightly laughed in a mocking tone and repeated the word. "Revenge.... ah such a sweet word." And with that, a strike of lightening tore up the sky and the connection of the dead was gone and the blood pool and nearby calling forest were quiet, not even chirping crickets or hooting owls were present. Sandshadow chuckled with satisfaction as she wondered if it was a dream or real and nonchalantly pranced back to her awaiting den.
