Name: Oakstripe; The name 'Oak' represents the light brown colored pelt Oakstripe has. The suffix of his name 'Stripe' refers to the dark brown stripe that runs down Oakstripe's back. Together that forms the name Oakstripe and how he got the name.
Gender: Oakstripe is a Tom.
Age: 25 Moons
Clan: RiverClan
Rank: Warrior
Description: Oakstripe has a brownish colored pelt. The brown covers most of his body. It's a lighter shade of brown, it almost resembles the bark of and oak tree. Hence the name Oakstripe. Not all of Oakstripe is the oak tree bark colored, he has a stripe running down his back which starts just below his shoulders and stops where his tail begins. His stripe is a dark brown, it's almost black. The stripe is one of the more noticeable features on his body. You'd have to get face to face with him to see that he has a scar just below his right eye. He got that in a battle some time ago, right before he was made a warrior of RiverClan. Another reason why he got the names 'Oak' is because of his eye color. His eyes are a deep green color, which almost seem to match Oak leaves in the summer. His tail is an average length, it's not really long or really short. His claws however are normal. For some unknown reason his claws a little jagged. They almost represent hooks. They're good for battle because they can sink right in to the soft flesh of an enemy cat. Oakstripe's shoulders are big, broad, and bulky. Once again referring back to the to the strength of an Oak tree. He's a strong and fast cat. Some say he was born to fight and win.
Personality: He has many different emotions and feelings that all swirl around into the tornado known as Oakstripe. Normally though he is a good matured cat. He respects each and every cats he meets, friend or foe. He loves newborn kits and if he were to one day become a father to some, he would be there every minute he could. Oakstripe has a short temper sometimes, it can be easily set off. When he's mad, he's like a bomb set off to detonate the entire planet. He almost goes blind with fury and doesn't think about things he may have done until afterwords. He has one soft spot though, if he hurts someone in any way, he tries to remember to go back and apologize to them. That doesn't apply to him when he battles though. He basically is a Search and Destroy kind of cat in battle. By that meaning, he wants to defend his clan until he dies and even after. That's pretty intense loyalty right there.
Summary Light brown furred Tom with a darker brown stripe running down his back. His eyes are green like the leaves of an oak tree.
History:
Stand by me and I'll stand by you...
Birds sang loudly on this bright and sunny morning in NewLeaf. It seemed like a perfect day. Cats were already up and about the RiverClan camp, doing their normal things. Today wasn't normal for one cat though. Hollyleaf was giving birth to her kits!
It was noon, the sun was directly over head. Hollyleaf lay tired in her nest in the nursery. Tired but happy. She had given birth to two wonder kits today. Both Toms, one was light brown with a dark stripe named Oakkit. Oakkit resembled his father Mudpelt. Her other kit, Lionkit, had golden fur just like she did. Already the kits seemed to like each other. The two brothers seemed to be the best of friends already.
Thunder boomed as lightning streaked the dark and clouded sky. "Run faster Liontail! The storm is getting bad we have to get back to camp!" Oakstripe looked back to see if his brother had followed him. Horrified he stopped dead in his tracks, Liontail wasn't with him. Suddenly a huge lightning bolt slammed into a tall pine tree. The tree almost instantly caught one fire. High winds hollowed through the forest. The fire lept through the air and onto surrounding trees. "Great StarClan! A forest fire is starting!" He had to get back to camp and warn the others, but he couldn't leave Liontail out there alone. Against all wits, he turned and ran into the forest which was now on fire.
Oakstripe screamed his brothers name, only to be drowned out by the roar of the blaze around him. Right then a tree snapped and Oakstripe heard the worst sound he had ever heard in his life. The sound of a cat in pain and dying. He continued into the fire. Then he found his brother, lying dead under the fallen tree. He raised his head and and looked up into the stars of the coming night. There was a sizzle as the rain slowly put out the massive fire. It was all over then. Sadly he turned to walk back to camp, he only looked back once at the flattened body of his brother. He then headed for home, ready to deliver the news to his mother. He knew she would be grief stricken at the news of the death of one of her kits.

Ut diluculo propinquo sunlight engulfs silva...
He opened his eyes and blinked to adjust to the new morning light. It was dawn, dim light flooded into the GorgeClan warriors den. Oakstripe sat quietly unable to sleep. Al that was to be heard was the sound of the sleeping warriors around him in the den. Birds had not yet awakened to sing their morning songs. It seemed like it was going to be a good day today, since the sun was shining early. With that he quietly got up and stretched. Careful not to step on any cat. It appeared to be near dawn time since dim sunlight shone through the tall pines. But because of their height and how close together they were, it was pretty hard to tell. Sitting in the mouth of the warriors den, he heard a rustling sound in a nearby den. Just then, a small kit flew out of the nursery. It started mewling loudly and quick as lightning it's mother flew out of the brambles to fetch it and call it down. Oakstripe let out a mrrow of laughter as he thought back to his days as a kit in GorgeClan, without a care in the world. Of course now, being a warrior, he had many more responsibilities. Such as hunting and patrols. For a heart beat he almost wished he was a kit once again.
The moment passed quickly and soon he was brought back to the present world. For a few moments, he sat blankly and began to wonder why he had even came outside in the firstplace. He liked to watch the sunrise but yesterday had been a busy day and the night before all he had wanted to do was to curl up and sleep for about a moon or so. He considered going to go out and hunt for a little while, but it was LeafBare and that meant that prey would be harder to come by. Oakstripe began to turn to go back into the nice warm warriors den when he caught scent of something strange. He walked without a sound to the entrance of the camp and open his mouth slightly to scent the air again. The scent was still there and it was definitely was fresh, not doubt about it. He had to think for a moment and try and think of what it was. He hadscented it before, but only once long time ago. It wasn't a badger, fox or dog. Then as he scented more closely he realized something. For a moment, his blood seemed to stop flowing as it dawned on him what it was.

Run, run, run, as fast as you can! If you don't, you will die...
Oakstripe froze, horrified at what he had just scented. Suddenly he had a flashback, to the worst day of his life... (OOC: Navy is the flashback)
Warriors and apprentices poured out of the camp entrance and formed a defensive wall against the attackers. These cats, were not clan cats, they were huge in size. Many times bigger then the warriors of GorgeClan, or any cat he had ever seen for that matter. Dark black clouds covered the sky, to show that StarClan did not cause this and they did not like what they saw. Oakpaw tingled with excitement and fear at the same time. It was his first real battle ever! Even though fighting off bobcats would be a bloody task, it was still sort of exciting to be on the front lines of the GorgeClan defenses. Since he was six moons old, he had been chosen to go out with the other warriors to try and stop the bobcats from entering their camp. On one side stood Ragingstorm, his mentor and closest friend. On the other side stood Barkstripe, his father. His father looked so much like him, the only real difference was their eye color. The biggest bobcat stepped forward and spoke to the clan cats in a low twisted growl. "Run, run, run, as fast as you can! If you don't, you will die!" As he spoke, Oakpaw looked up at Ragingstorm for reassurance, but the blue-gray tom did not meet his gaze. Taking that as a sign, Oakpaw barred his teeth back in a snarl. GorgeClan would not go down without a fight.

Oakstripe sat in his vigil and looked back on on the events from the previous day. It had been the worst of his life. His father, Barkstripe, had been killed saving GorgeClan from the bobcats. His mentor and many other cats from GorgeClan had been killed as well. He realized if RainClan had not come to the rescue, he might have died too. The only positive thing that came out of the battle was that he became a warrior the night after. He had been named Oakstripe, in honor of his father who gave his life defending the clan.
Oakstripe shook the terrible thought from his head. He peered over at the elder's den. "At least I still have Ragingstorm..." Suddenly he felt rage build up inside of him. If the bobcats were to come again, he would show them just how he felt about their kind killing his father all those moons ago. He ran full speed towards the leader's den. "I must warn Burntstar!"

Family: Goldenleaf ~ Oakstripe's mother, she has golden fur and blue eyes.
Mudpelt ~ Oakstripe's father, he has light brown fur the exact tone of Oakstripe's fur.
Liontail ~ Oakstripe's dead brother, he resembled his mother.
Roleplaying Sample: Oakstripe slept peacefully in warriors den. He shivered in his warm nest of moss as he raised his head to peer into the fog clouded land. It appeared to be before dawn, he could tell by the cold of the morning. With no real interest in watching fog, Oakstripe cuddled back up in his nest waiting for sleep to overcome him once more. He seemed to lay there for ever, silent, motionless, and listen for the slightest sound. Right as he was about to fall back to sleep, he heard a cat cry out in rage in the distance. Startled he slowly raised himself to his paws, not wanting to awake any other cats. He still couldn't see where he was going because of the dense fog. The ground below him was wet and littered with small puddles it had probably been raining the night before. Slowly he walked forward through the camp he saw no one out and about. Was he just hearing things? Probably not, he was sure he had heard a cat out here. Just as he was about to turned back around and head back to his den, he noticed what looked like to be a trail of paw prints left in the mud. He ran up to the trail to see where it led. Oakstripe followed it through most of the camp until it led to the entrance to the RiverClan camp. Why would any cat want to leave the camp before dark? He didn't know exactly, there had to be some reason. He wanted to race out into the darkness to investigate, but he had been told stories of things that had happened to cats who went out onto the moorland alone before light. He couldn't live without knowing so he padded out the entrance onto the grassy fields, all the while hoping he wouldn't get lost in the Sky Grass. He walked for a while not seeing any signs of life. "Well this is stupid... there's not even anything out here." Oakstripe kept walking forward through the Sky Grass all the while watching and listening for something, anything.
His search continued for a while without any luck of finding anything. He peered up into the sky. It had gotten lighter out and it was quickly approaching dawn. Oakstripe didn't want to come back to camp empty handed in case cats were awake when he got back. He turned around to walk back, this time looking for prey to bring along with him. He then spotted a field mouse about five tail-lengths ahead of where he stood. Quietly Oakstripe stalked up onto the little mouse. Then without warning the mouse turned to run. Confused by it's sudden movement, Oakstripe ran after it. The brown tom pounced into the air trying to pin point his landing on top of the mouse. Success! Oakstripe's brown front paw rested on top of the tiny creature. His claws lifted out of the bloody little body. Oakstripe picked it up in his mouth and began to carry back in the direction he had come. As he was approaching the sleeping camp, he noticed what he might have been looking for all along. He thought he saw a gray colored cat standing a little ways in front of him. He squinted through the heavy fog which was just beginning to thin out. Now he was sure he had seen a cat up ahead. Oakstripe continued on through the Sky Grass and out onto the more open lands. The cat had been hunting as it appeared to be standing over fallen prey. As he drew closer he recognized Shallowstream, another warrior from his clan. He had also thought it was kind of funny how it turned out the her name was also the name of part of FlightClan territory. Oakstripe set his catch down on the ground in front of him. "Good morning, Shallowstream. What are you doing out so early?" Feeling tired from walking around so much Oakstripe sat down on the moist earth.
