My ,my what a wonderful world I lived in there wasn't really anything that pleased me more then my sweet wanderings around my clan's territory that I had known all of my life. The welcoming breeze ruffled my pelt in a loving way like when my mother groomed me before I became an apprentice to my loving mentor Falconclaw, he was my father's best friend and both of them enjoyed talking about my progress and other ways I could improve so my skills would be noticed by our leader who was the same adorable male I had grown to admire and maybe even like him more then just being our leader. I never thought over those feelings I felt towards him because I had to keep my loyalty to my clan more then just my leader even though the handsome tom had stolen every feeling I could ever give a tom, in a sense my heart was already stolen even if I wasn't truly sure if I was allowed to feel such things. My blue hued orbs blinked as my ears caught a sound, every fiber of me returned to the moorlands which I had been walking with such stealth that nothing heard me not even the poor rabbit that had joyfully hopped in my view like nothing was there only to be stalked by me the colorless warrior that was known for her ability to be swift and ruthless in battle and in hunting. My icey orbs locked onto the bird and my muscles went to work to stalk the creature with the skill it needed, my paws kneaded the ground to get the feel before I sprang and dispatched the animal with a quick yet powerful bit to the neck. I dropped the body and licked my lips as I tasted the blood that lingered on my lips from bitting it, I looked at it with a smile on my mug before I picked it up and padded towards the outlook rock where I usually go to clear my mind or just watch the lands while I have nothing to do.
The peaceful moons was lovely even though it only caused my urge to do something important for my clan even worse, I wanted to help with the future but I had a serious problem and that was I had no mate and the only male I could probably ever love was the leader of my clan. I would have sighed but I really couldn't with the dead rabbit in my jaws, my eyes wandered around the area before I bunched my hind legs and jumped up onto the outlook rock which was known for lookouts to be at when they are watching over the territory. I came here even if I wasn't assigned to look out but I would watch the terrain like always because I couldn't stand for someone trying to harm my clanmates, I set the rabbit next to me as I sat with my tail curled around my front paws. I was hungry yes but I didn't want to eat yet I was wanting to figure out a solution to my problem that had come up with this whole wanting a mate but not being able to get over my crush on my clan leader, I sighed before licking my lips and sadly staring out at the moorlands that I had grown to love.
This was my home and I would never leave it because home it where the heart is., now isn't it?

The sun sat high in the vast, baby blue sky. A few white tuffs floated lazily in its mass, the silhouette of a flock of birds casting a shadow unto the open moorland beneath their wide spread wings. The emerald blades of grass swayed to and fro, the few scattered bushes mirroring them as the strong winds of the vast, flat land blew with their usual strength. Nothing a Windclan cat wasn't used to. The open land held within its confines rabbits and other small rodents, the squirrels hanging at the border between Windclan and the surrounding clans, though hardly ever upon the moorland which was void of trees. And then, there were the occasional birds that rested within the brush. But the moajority of the prey here in Windclan, as all knew, was rabbit and rodents, for the most part. Though, of course, there was always a rare moment when a different creature would make its way into Windclan territory.
Grass blades brushed against Swiftstar's resting form as he lay beside a bush. Lids shut, his exposed side rising and falling as he napped in the mixture of shade and dappling sunlight. The warmth of the day was steadily becoming more intense with each passing day, forewarning those of the coming greenleaf. The prey was increasing as well, with each day that became the recent past. And slowly, Windclan was awakening. And this brought a joy and pride to Swiftstar. There was nothing more pleasing and satisfying than to witness his clan growing more and more active. Things got lonely and stressful for the mackerel tabby tom. But one day, they would be performing patrols with a safe number of warriors. But at the time, there wasn’t enough for decent patrols throughout the day. But in time, things would grow. All it took was time and patience. Two things that Swiftstar had, and would continue to have. He was in no rush for life to begin thundering about Windclan territory. After all, it wasn’t just Windclan that was silent. Thunderclan, Shadowclan, and Riverclan were also silent and without many patrols. But tension was low, and there really was no need to stir up trouble in clans that were going about their own business, remaining where they should be, and belonged.
Grass tickled Swiftstar’s pink nose, and he wrinkled it, lids opening to reveal his emerald eyes. Slowly, his breathing fell into normal rhythm as he arched his back, stretching his forelimbs, falling into a sitting position, wrapping his tail about his left flank to rest upon his large white paws. After a few moments allowing his whole body to return to full awareness, he got to his paws and took to a graceful yet powerful and flowing jog, muscles rippling beneath his thick pelt as the wind rippled it, together making him seem somewhat majestic, though never would he place himself as King, or anything of idiotic dictatorship. He believed in fairness and allowing the clan to make their decisions. Perhaps, he might be powerful, and the one to have the final say, but he never went against his clan. They were like family to him, after all. As he jogged, the scent of Iceshadow crossed his senses, and he turned to look in the direction from which the scent was flowing. And yet, it did little surprise to him as he noted she was most likely at Outlook Rock. She was perhaps one of the most beautiful cats he’d yet to see. And there was just something about her he found captivating… What it was, even Swiftstar wasn’t certain. But he was just… drawn to her. It wasn’t just her outer beauty or her youth… It was her spirit and loyalty that shone through the brightest… She was beautiful in every way. And at times, his heart would race when he would see her dashing across the open moorland after a rabbit. There was something that just took his breath away. And yet, the age difference was fairly vast… But who ever said age played a part in love? But then again, was it love? Or was he simply letting himself think it was? And better still was another question… What did she feel for Swiftstar?
Tossing the thoughts aside, he spotted her, and smiling, moved up to the rock, the muscles in his haunches tensing only to release like a tightly wound spring, as he landed gracefully and nimbly beside her, his emerald gaze kind and calm.
“ I had a feeling I’d find you here, Iceshadow.”
A smile lifted unto his features as he turned his gaze toward the territory, one ear pointed in her direction as he awaited for her voice to break the silence that now lingered.

Time moves on with no heed towards the surrounding world, seasons change and things die only to come back to life in a new form or even being at times. The world moved on even if the hearts of the ones who lost someone dear did not move on as quickly as the world, no one healed in one day it took many and I knew that even though I could never understand true heartbreak until it really happened to me. I had lost no one but still felt some pain when a clanmate died whether I knew them or not I mourned and said my goodbyes like everyone else, at times I wished to know what was right and what was wrong but at times I get the answer with more trouble then I wanted. But then again there are no shortcuts to any place worth going, I remember when the leader before Swiftstar told me that when I visited moonstone before I became a warrior that was a few moons ago but I understood why he said it. Because if I wanted to get anywhere important in my life I had to work hard and not slack off in anything I did, that is why I have my clanmates ask me to show their apprentices how to hunt and other things because of how I strive to become something better then just a normal everyday warrior. My colorless pelt blended well with the white-washed rock that I passively laid on, my sides heaved up and down peacefully as my blue orbs were half hidden from the world as I pondered over my thoughts and problems. My ears flickered at the tiniest sound and soon I began to notice I wouldn't be alone for much longer, I yawned slightly before tasting the air to see who or what was out there and coming to greet me. The breeze became a traitor to my leader as it carried his scent to me which put me on an easy-going edge that merely made my shoulder muscles tense, I hauled myself gracefully to a sitting position as he came to stand beside me. And amused look brought it self into my expression as he spoke to simply to me, then again he didn't know what kind of effect he had on me because I could easily hide it like I did most of my emotions when battle came into the picture. I smiled before saying " Am I that predictable, Swiftstar?" My tones were playfully as I kneaded the rock with my paws as I looked over the handsome tabby and white tome that rested near me in all his glory, my blue orbs sparkled with my amusement as I studied him. My eyes showed more then I knew but that was because they were very expressive when it came to my emotions whether they were hidden or not they showed up in my beautifully colored blue eyes, the sun shimmered over my white pelt as I nudged the rabbit toward him offering him it before I even thought about eating it myself because I found doing that rude and I was never one to be rude. My ears flickered and my entire being was at peace even if I was in front of the only cat I could probably ever love, I would remain the warrior I was meant to be even if it meant loosing the only chance to ever be a queen. I probably couldn't live with that fact but oh well I'd deal somehow.

Life moved on, as did time. It stopped for no one, not even the strongest cat or twoleg. None of the great forced were ever fully controlled. Not even Starclan could fully protect the clans and the forest. They sent warnings through messages scent to the medicine cats, and they showed cats the danger of things. But never could the physically defend the clans. it was up to the cats in dangerous situations to feel the warnings Starclan sent for them to heed. If one was weary of the signs, knew of the dangers and saw them before it happened, then things would most likely be safe. That was how Starclan protected the cats of the forest. But never could they ever aide us directly. and often times, when Swiftstar's mind turned to his beloved mother and father who now walked with Starclan, he wondere dif they were always watching over him and Windclan... He wondered if they were as proud as he imagined them to be. It was something that never really seemed to leave his thoughts. he was always worried his parents weren't proud of him. And despite the fact they were with Starclan, everything he did, he did to make his parents proud. They were his inspiration, his motivation, and the very reason he had worked his way up as leader. He wanted to make them prouder with each breath he took. And that was just something he would never stop longing to do, even after old age settled into his strong body.
He sat there beside Iceshadow, turning his gaze from the territory, and turned thme unto Iceshadow's beautifully stunning pelt. The wind blew, rippling his tabby adn white fur, as well as her own. It made her looking breath-taking... For a moment, his heart raced, but he slowed it down as he took a large inhale of the fresh moorland air. He wondered how on earth she would ever fall for someone like himself. He had nothing special about him. The only thing that made him stand out, perhaps, was his emerald gaze. But in comparison to that of Iceshadow's dazzling blue eyes, there was no way in Starclan or in all the forest he would find anything more beautiful than her... Was that possible, to find something as beautiful as the very gem with a price no one, not even Swiftstar could afford? She'd stolen his heart, and despite their age difference, he couldn't tell his love for her to die... He felt to passionately for her. But as a leader, he ahd hid these emotions from her adn the rest of the clan. He couldn't perform at his best when she was on his mind. But now, he could let his mind wander all about her mysterious nature which allured him so.
He watches a beautiful smile grace her face before her sweet words ring into his ears. He grinns and chuckles lightly.
" At times, yes."
He watched as her emotions flickered through her eyes. And for a moment, he could have sworn she saw affection and love dance within thouse beautiful crystalline pools of hers. She nudges the rabbit toward him, and he simply nudges it back.
" Thanks, but I'd much rather you have it. You did catch it after all."
He hesitated, shifting his forepaws with a slight nervousness.
" Unless, of course, you want to share it with me. That would be acceptable."
Was he overstepping some invisible line? He dreafully hoped not. After all, wooing the fair she-cat who'd stolen his heart wasn't a crime, was it? And so, he waited, emerald eyes sparkling with a want, yet refined and restrained he remained as he awaited her reaction, hoping he hadn't offended her... Perhaps he had her eye on Blazinghope. He was a rather fine tom, and Swifstar admired him. And so, he waited, uncertain of what would be said, and what would happen. Would they discover something about one another? And so, he waited for destiny to unfold.

Keep moving forward and never look back, it's how a warrior survived in this crazy world where death could take anyone one of us at any given time. The thought of that always worried me to the core seeing as I wasn't sure how I would take the death of my mother or father, but the one that would sting the most would be the one holding my heart in his paws. My mind raced as it scrambled to get itself back on it's paws after it's embarrassing fumble over that thought which pulled at my heartstrings, I prayed to starclan that I'd never see him die or loose a life it would be too much for me to bare. Worry flashed across my vivid blue orbs for a few milliseconds before disappearing into the confounds of my mind, the breeze was refreshing and helped me figure where my head should be at. I watched him with a secret longing to tell him how I felt about him even though I knew it would probably hinder his thought process if I put my feelings on the table, I knew I could probably get away with it now but at the moment I just wanted to share this time with him even if I did almost trip over myself because of how much I loved him. I maybe young but I knew these feelings were love and nothing not even the age difference could knock me back or even down, his words brought an amused look to my face along with that beautifully sweet smile I usually only wore around him. My whiskers twitched in amusement as I spoke gently " You Know me so well, Swiftstar." My tones were playful but sweet as I looked at him with my calm but very vivid blue eyes that held a certain type of affection in them, his second set of vocals made me look at him with my ears dialed down in slightly confusion. But the way he moved after he spoke I noticed he was nervous, I blinked when he spoke again before laughing lightly and saying " Then we'll share it since it's acceptable and I find eating front of someone else rude." I said with a small purr of amusement before I nudge the rabbit forward allowing him to have the first bite, my blue eyes gleamed with a mixture of love, affection ,and amusement all in one and all for the same cat. If I couldn't really tell him I could show him that I loved him more then most cats should ever love their leader, I knew most of the other she-cats were either jealous of her or there for her feelings seeing as most had a crush on the leader but not as deeply as mine ran. Out of most the she-cats in the clan I was one that had attracted the attention of most of the toms, I never tried but it seemed that being blessed with my mother's beauty seemed to attract attention far more then my skills as a warrior even though the gracefulness of my attacks seemed to drive the males crazy as it was. Mentally I sighed as I watched him, with that soft smile of mine still present on my features. Nothing in the world could ruin this moment not even the fact I was nervous about telling him how I felt about him, it was clear by the fact I was kneading the rock underneath us nervously. That was the only sign I was nervous if you missed that then you would never know.
