The sounds of the early morn echoed into the warrior cave. The soft sound of her clanmates sleeping around her echoed oftly against the walls of the cave in which they slept. The first light of the monring shone on the outside of the cave, reaching the floor of the gorge in which Skyclan made its home. But as the sounds of the early morning filled her ears, the scent of rain filled her senses. Slowly, the cream she-cat, marked by red tabby markings, shifted. Slowly, she lifted her pretty head, baring the white mark upon the bridge of her nose. Her birthmark. Slowly, lids lifted to reveal soft, baby blue eyes as they gazed outside the cave. It had rained last night. the floor of the gorge was moist. The chhill in the air told all that leafbare was making its way into the days to come.
Slowly, Dovewing rose to her paws, arching her back. Once her back was stretched, she slowly, contentedly began to stretch the muscle in her limbs. Once finished, she say upon her haunches, and lifting her right forepaw, began to clean her face, running her tongue over her paw, and running her paw across her face, and over her ears. After a while, she let her paw rest back on th floor of her nest made of dried moss and ferns. She then began to run her tongue over her chest. After a long while longer, and a wonderful morning grooming, she stepped out of her nest, and quietly passed out of the cave. She squinted as she let her baby blue eyes adjust to the bright light of the sun, more clouds slowly filling the sky as each day grew colder and wetter.
But despite the cold and moister, her thoughts turned happily and lovingly to her mate, Wolfember and his handsome feiry tabby pelt. And so, she sat herself outside the entrance of the warrior cave, wondering where he was. He hadn't been sleeping behind her... Had he left for an early morning stroll or something? Patiently and quietly, she sat there, just happy to know that she was no longer alone in this little world of hers.

Wolfember saw his mate emerge from the warriors cave. His big bulky body shambled its way towards the gorgeous she-cat. He had been out for an early morning walk, just to stretch himself out before the day began. He made his way to where his mate was sitting, and sat next to her while looking out into the distance. The weather was absolutely horrid, it was cold and wet and just plain old miserable. But Wolfember didn't notice one bit. He turned to his mate with adoration shining in his eyes.
"It's beautiful out here isn't it?"
His eyes sparked with a bit of amusement, but more with a hidden meaning. He stared at his mate, knowing that no matter what the weather was like he owuld enjoy it. His ginger pelt was ruffled by the cold breeze, but he didn't mind. He was a large enough cat to not be affected by a chilly wind. The large cat wondered if his mate was cold then, without asking, he put his tail across her shoulders in a meager attempt to warm her up. He turned his gaze back out towards the appearing and disappearing sun, wanting one day of no clouds but knowing that as long as Dovewing was there, he'd have a million days of pure unadulterated sunlight.

Dovewing never thought she would have found love. The odds seemed so unlikely... Her clan was always busy, and she had never thought a tom would take the time to truly notice her. But it had happened but two or so moons ago that Woldember had caught her eye, and stolen her heart. She couldn't imagine life without him now... She was so madly in love with him, that the sheer thought of his ginger tabby fur was enough to spark warmth against the chilly air that buffetted against her cream, crimson tabby striped pelt. She wondered where he was, but at the same time, she had a pretty good guess. He was the sort of cat that enjoyed early morning walks, despite the weather. He was always up before most all the cats in the clan, stretching his limbs. She was used to waking up in the early morning to feel him brush agains ther gently as he stepped out of his nest and moved out of the cave to set out on his usual trek. But she knew that he was always safe. And that was what mattered most to her, that he was safe. Starclan knows what would happen to her if she ever lost him in some tragic accident. But she also knew that he could take care of himself well, and she relaly had no reason to worry about him. But that was just what she did. She only ever wanted the beset for him, and worried for his health. The medicine cat, Silvershard thoguht her an interesting character, to be so worried for her mate. But all she could say was that she just was. Wasn't that part of being so in love?
She soon spotted the ginger tabby fur she longed to see in the distance. And soon, he was beside her, the very place she always wanted him to be. But they had clan duties they had to attend to. They got the chances to go on patrols togethe,r but they were both aware that, for the sake of the clan, they needed to focus on their set tasks. And there always seemed to be enough time for intimate moments with one another afterwards, anyhow. To Dovewing,s he couldn't be happier... But at the same time, she could be... She could have kits of her own, or be expecting. But was she truly ready to become a queen? They had yet to talk about it, but she was sure that, when the time was right, Starclan and her beloved mate would show her when the time was right. She smiled at his words, her baby blue eyes meeting his burning gaze, returning the adortion and love that shone in his eyes. She purred, whiskers twitching with amusement.
" I wouldn't say that, but all the same, it's just another day in the one place I want to be."
She smiled sweetly and nuzzled into his neck tenderly. It was thne that she felt his tail wrap around her. She looked up at him, smiling tenderly as she shifted to the side, her fur pressing against his. Life couldn't be any better, despite the horrid weather conditions. She let out a content sigh.
" How was your morning walk?"

Wolfember's grew warmer with heat more intense than the sun in all its glory. The neverending fire of love brought a warmth that could last him through a hundred leafbares. As soon as Dovewing had nuzzled against him, Wolfember had felt invincible. This was no unusual feeling, since the very sight of his mate brought the strength of StarClan and more onto his broad shoulders. Wolfember had never expected love, especially not a love as true and pure as this. He used to be thr runt of the litter, then he grew to be freakishly huge for an apprentice. His size had scared off all of the female apprentices, except for Dovewing. She had been the only she-cat who had never seemed intimidated by him in the slightest and he had always respected that. He wasn't a scary cat, on the inside at least, and he tried his hardest to always show his true kind and sweet self. He stared into the baby blue eyes that had him ensnared in the deepest love and respect that a cat could ever have.
"To be quite honest, a bit lonely. I pity the mountains, they always seemed to be whispering of their lonliness. Though they are beautiful, they lack something that I've had the unspeakable luck to gain. And so I pity them, knowing that they can never hold the same love for someone that I hold for you. The funny thing is, through some of the most beautiful country that I've ever been through I couldn't help but to think of you. You are a beauty worth more than every mountain's majesty combined."
He turned his head away shyly. It was unnatural for most toms to be so straightforward and poetic, but then again, he wasn't most toms. The deep love he held for Dovewing overpowered his foolish pride, so act big and tough just wasn't the way Wolfember was...

Oh, how she could sit there forever with Wolfember, cuddling into his large, warm body. She could only dream time and time again how they'd first met. She had never been intimidated, where as all the other she-cats were. Even back when she was an apprentice, she was one of the few she-cats that was known to be his friend. He was practically alone through the time she'd known him, yet never known she felt anything for him. She knew not what hit her that afternoon, but sh ejust fell so heavily for him, it was astonishing. No she-cat wanted him too close, afraid she would get hurt. But all Dovewing ever wanted was to be close to Wolfember. She loved him like no other ever could, and she knew he felt the same way for her. Despite being, in reality, so small when beside him, she felt safer than any she-cat ever could with a regular sized mate. She knew that no cat would be foolish enough to try and harm her, not when she had her dearest Wolfember by her side. Just as he felt invincible, she felt eternally safe. It was like the Eagle that fell in love with, well, the dove. Something so large, so intimidating, ending up with somrthing so beautiful yet delicate and sweet. Like a kit that curled up next to a dog and fell asleep, knowing that no other cat would dare attempt to harm it... That was the kind of protection she felt whenever she was with her mate. And that would never change.
She thought again, of what it would be like to have kits with Wolfember. Would they be large when born? Or small, but grow to be his size? Or would they be her size, but larger if they were toms? It was hard, trying to imagine what her kits would look like... But she did know she wanted to have kits. At least one litter... She just wasn't sure if she wanted them now. But that got her wondering, what does Wolfember want? Did he want kits now, or was he willing to wait until she wished to have? Or better still, did he even want kits? But she shoved these thoughts aside when she heard his voice. She listened to his words, and practically melted into a puddle at his peotic sentences. When he finished, she gave his neck yet another nuzzle, purring loudly and conintuously. She then looked back up into his burning eyes, and smiled sweetly when he turned away shyly.
" Oh, Wolfember..."
She sighed, her voice thick with affection, adortion, and passion.
" That was so beautiful, and so sweet..."
She smiled, nuzzling into him again, before looking back up at him.
" Where would I be without you?"

Wolfember looked down at the delicate cat that was his life, his purpose. Without her, he would be lost and forever alone. He though back to when he had first fallen for her. It was newleaf in SkyClan and all of the apprentices had decided to celebrate the changing seasons with a friendly competition. It would consist of prey hunting, battle skills and all other sorts of silly apprentice games. Wolfember had been quite excited to attend and hopefully make some friends. Once he had gotten there, however, the apprentices had told him that he wasn't allowed to participate since he was freakishly big. Wolfember had turned and padded away sadly, heading back to the apprentices den to sulk when he heard pawsteps behind him. Dovewing (or Dovepaw at the time) ran up next to him, telling him that she didn't think he was a freak or too huge. She continued to sit and talk with him, excluding herself from the apprentice games just so he wouldn't be lonely. After that day he had been absolutely crazy for her and had wanted nothing more than to be with her for the rest of his life.
Wolfember ocntinued to this about his life with Dovewing. Wolfember really wanted to have kits then live out the rest of their warrior days and die together as elders, but did she want the same? He knew she wanted to be with him for the rest of her life, but did she want kits? Wolfember could imagine himself as a father, beaming with pride as his kits became apprentices and then warriors. He wanted to ask Dovewing about kits, but he couldn't find the courage. He was afraid that she didn't want kits and would hate him because he did. So he didn't bring it up, hoping that if it was what she wanted then she would ask. But until then he could only wait.
Wolfember turned his attention back to the she-cat nuzzling up against him, he loved when she did that and he was pretty sure she knew that. He thought about what she said and wondered what the answer would be. Where WOULD she be without him? Happy with another mate, maybe with a full litter of kits? Or perhaps as miserable and lonely he had been before she stumbled into his life. He hoped for the latter of the two, knowing that it was his answer,
" Personally, without you I'd be a pathetic empty shell of an oversized ginger cat. But that's just me."
He said it with a hint of amusement, but mostly with sincerity. He thought about how silly it may had sounded so he continued the conversation.
"Well, love, what are the plans for this fine day?"

Dovewing could think of no other tom she would be happier with. And yet, she couldn't help but wonder, if maybe he ever wondered that she mind be happier with someone else. If so, he was being silly, thinking such an outrageous thing. She loved him, and him alone. She loved him for who he was when she first saw him, when she first talked to him, and when she first fell in love with him. As far as she was concerned, there was no one else for her. She was certain Starclan had intertwined their fates together. She couldn'y think of any other cat that could make her happier. She didn;t need kits to be happy. All she needed in her life was her beloved mate. He was everything to her. Kits would only makes things that much more perfect, but she didn't have to have them if that wasn't what he wanted. She wanted him to be happy, and she would do whatever it took to keep him happy. After all, that was what a good mate did for their significant other, right?
She smiled sweetly at him as he gazed down at her, practically being able to see the moment they first fell in love dancing in his amber eyes. She remembered it wonderfully, too. Who could forget such a touching, sweet moment? Especiallt when it meant so much to her and Wolfember. But as he was thinking of the past, she was wondering of the future. Was there a possiblity of kits in th enear future, perhaps? She pictured Wolfember as a father, and couldn't help but beam happily up at his smiling face. She knew he would make a wonderful father. But the question was, did he want them? That was always the question, for her. She knew she did, but she was partically scared of asking him. But as she thought more and more of the future that awaited them, and the beautiful past they had together, she had decided that today was the day she asked. When she heard his words, she couldn't help but smile brighter. He was so happy with her, as she was with him. She couldn't think of one place she'd want to be if he wasn't at her side. She gave a soft, small laugh.
" Well, I don't think so. But I know, without you, I wouldn'y feel as complete and happy as I do now..."
She licked his neck tenderly, her baby blue eyes meeting his afterwards. She just couldn't get enough of his amber gaze, eternally admiring her, as hers were undoubtedly doing for him. When he spoke once more, she sat in silence for a few moments. And the, an idea came to her. So, she got to her paws, and looking up at her mate
" Perhaps another walk, but with some company? And we can stop to hunt a little, too."

Dovewing's word nearly brought tears to his eyes. To know that someone loves you as much as you love them is the most precious feeling in all the world. He felt more in love with her than he ever had. His eyes beamed with pride as he looked down at her. His icy blue eyes met her baby blue eyes and he nearly forgot who he was. Her gaze tended to have that sort of effect on him. She licked his neck, making him tense up in slight surprise. It was the best feeling in the world, and that was the part he hadn't been expecting. He looked inot her eyes agin with a gaze that over and over said "I love you more than life".
She got up and looked at him, suggesting a walk. He could see in her eyes that she obviously had something on her mind, but he couldn't figure out what it was. He could practically see thw wheels in her head turning as he got up with her. He wondered if she was displeased with him for some reason, or if she had something important to ask him. He figured the best way to find out was to concede to go out on another walk. It wasn't a burden, quite the opposite. Repeating a walk was more than worth spending every second he could with Dovewing.
"That sounds wonderful"
He purred to his mate. It was a simple, perhaps even foolish response but it held more truth than the most flourishing response could. He made an elegant bow (as far as a cat could) and siwshed his tail to indicate her to lead the way.
"After you my love"

Dovewing could never love another. This she knew when she said yes to being his mate, and the future mother of their kits. The thought of the future was a romantic one. They would be raising kits here soon, hopefully. They would enter into the elder's den once of age together, and hopefully they would join Starclan shortly after one or the other left. She couldn't see herself without her beloved for one day. It meant so much to her, his presence beside her. She knew she wasn't the most intimidating looking she-cat. And she had her fair share of taunts from the other apprentices about her fear of complete and utter darkness without the silver light of Starclan shining down on her in a watchful gaze. The others, they thoguht of her as a scare little kit, often making names for her that weren't something she ought to be prideful for. But she just brushed off their remarks, though of course there were times where she just had to cry somewhere out on Skyclan's vast territory just so she wouldn't burst inside. She didn't want them to see how they hurt her, but one could only hold in the pain for so long, befor eit started to become bad to do so. At least, that was what her grandma had told her not too long before she was named a warrior, and shortly after her last day with Skyclan. She loved her grandmother. She knew she could always go and cry safely into her ginger fur. Ifever any of the apprentices saw, she'd give them a sharp tongue lashign without remorse or hesitation. Which was why, when her grandmother did pass away, it was rather hard for her to deal with things for a while. But that was when she discovered another apprentice who was having trouble with the other apprentices... That was when she fell for Wolfember.
She smiled at his words, and when he bowed, she laughed softly before padding in front of him. She had seen the look in his eyes, though. There was nothing she could truly get past her. He seemed worried about what she might want to talk about... Perhaps, like most toms, when their mates said 'Lets go on a walk, just the two of us. I have something I want to say', or something along those lines, they think they're in for some scolding. She twitched her whiskers in amusement, and yet, the look in his eyes did worry her. What if he wasn't ready for kits? Well, she would just ask, and see what happens. And so, she began the upward climb toward the one place she loved to be. Sky Rock. She felt closer to her grandmother there. And the veiw was breath-taking at this time of the morning. And so, she climbed, muscles rippling beneath her cream fur streaked lightly with crimson tabby markings. She glanced back a few times, hoping he wasn't too far behind, giving him the shining look with her baby blue eyes that just screamed "I love you, and I always will". She soon reached Sky Rock, and settling into a sitting position, her eyes shining with contentment at where she was, and just how beautiful her home looked, through her eyes if not everyone else's. And so, she looked over her shoulder, smiling sweetly.
" That was a nice little walk, wasn't it?"
She laughed lightly, purring happily as she gestured toward the veiw of Skyclan's territory.
" The veiw from here is breath-taking."

Wolfember let the wind blow through his pelt, making his fur ripple with the breeze. He felt chills from the cold air and as suddenly as they were there, they were gone. He stared up at where Dovewing was ascending upwards. He watched her grace as she sleekly moved upwards. He could never see how he could ever love another as much as he loved Dovewing. He was so helplessly head over heels that when she was around that the feeling of bliss had entirely passed. To better explain it, he didn't get choked up around her nor did his brain just stop working. The effect she had on him made him sharper and more observant, he felt stronger and wiser than he ever could. He became more humble than any other lovestruck cat could ever hope to be. Wolfember became one hundred times the cat he used to be when Dovewing was around.
Wolfember climbed up and sat next to his love, wrapping his tail around her. He looked out the view before him and gasped. It was so beautiful, he had never taken the time to notice it. Now that he did he was amazed. He looked at Dovewing and purred.
"It's the second most beautiful thing I've ever seen"
