Hazelstar felt like she had been here almost a million times before, though she still wandered here often. She was walking by the river, relaxed by the gentle movement of the fish flying through the water. She breathed deeply, as if absorbing all of life's beauty into her. A slight breeze ruffled her fur, but all stayed silent. The only sound was her gentle breathing and tiny splashes of water. She padded silently to the edge of the river and sat down. Dipping her head slowly into the water, she took gentle gulps of the clear liquid and felt strength rushing through her body. Her electrifying blue eyes shot open as wind ruffled her fur and the grass. All seemed to be blowing around her as if she was in a trance. After the wind had died down the skinny she-cat settled down and slowly fell into a sleep, her gentle breathing rocking her.
The dream The leader's eyes shot open sending a sparkle to her vision. It was pitch black and the she-cat had no idea where she was. "H-Hello?" The words echoed through this endless world of darkness, yet no answer came back. Hazel's ears twitched in uneasiness. A bright flash caught the corner of her eye and she turned to see a red cat with black stripes standing in front of her. He let out a low snicker. "You actually think you can lead a clan, can't you? You're just a worthless little she-cat." Hazelstar let out a growl. "You don't even know me." The cat nodded. "You are right, Hazelstar. I am a cat that floats through peoples dreams. You can call me a phantom." Hazel's eyes widened. It's just a dream, he's not real. Echoed through her mind. Don't believe anything he says to you! Just then, the cat launched himself at her scraping his claws against her eyes. Hazelstar let out a yowl of terror and pain in real life, and it echoed almost throughout the whole river area. She squirmed and rolled and let out hopeless meows.

A grey flank rose and fell in the RiverClan warrior's den as Hailpelt slumbered quietly, her sleep going uninterrupted. Her paws twitched ever so often, but nothing big. Moments rushed by, quickly, as the she-cat lay there, unaware of the outside world or of the present. A couple more minutes passed before her amber orbs opened, blinking sleepily.
The RiverClan warrior pulled herself into a sitting position, scrubbing at her face with a gray paw. She took a few moments to groom the moss out of her tabby fur before silently slipping out of the den. She stretched, yawning widely, and looked around camp. Not many others were up, but that was hardly surprising. She had always been an early riser.
Settling down a couple feet away from the den, Hailpelt yawned once more and set her head on her paws, thinking. Simply thinking. This wasn't uncommon for the she-cat; she was known to space out or get lost in her mixed up thoughts. It had only been a couple heartbeats before a sudden screech made her jump and sprint in the direction in which it came from
Hailpelt dashed into Hazelstar's den, amber eyes wide with shock. She saw her leader rolling on the floor, thrashing about. It was obvious that she was having a nightmare of some sort. She bounded over and prodded her leader in the shoulder with a paw, meowing, "Hazelstar? Hazelstar, wake up."

Hazelstar's eyes shot open as a paw prodded her side. Realizing that it had all been a dream, she used all her energy to sit up straight. She licked down some of her ruffled fur that had stood up in fear and looked into the warrior's eyes. Her eyes were full of curiosity. "Thank you for waking me up, Hailpelt." She didn't mention that she had been so afraid, though her heart was still racing. The image of the cat scraping her eye had been to much to bare, and the eye that had been mentally scraped twitched at the thought. Hazelstar sighed. "All is fine now, Hailpelt. You may leave." She flicked her tail to the exit, though she knew her warrior already knew the way out. She raised a brow. "Unless you have something to speak with me about?"
