The sun was rising on the distant horizon of the gorge, shedding golden rays unto the territory of Skyclan. The first light of the day was always something of a glorious thing to Dovewing. She was up every morning before the first rays, for the simple pleasure of watching the day begin. And so, settled upon her haunches with her tail marked with soft red fur curled around her, baby blue eyes sparkling with contentment and happiness, she watched. The first melodies of the few birds that called this place their home as well began to fillher ears. Her short but thick and sleek cream fur rippled in thhe soft morning breeze that brushed gently past her, on its own set course. She inhaled deeply, taking in the scents as well as the fresh, crisp morning air. Life was in motion all around her. The emerald grass that grew around her moving with her fur as the breeze brushed by... Birds began to spot the sky with their sillhouettes as they stretched their wings and took to the skies, where Starclan resided.
It was a new concept to her clan. Starclan... It had been soo deeply written in the four forest clans that had, at one point, discovered the skyclan territory, and found an old male who still lived here. After their dipature, though, the new Skyclan had been born, and though it had been a good number of generations since that event, she knew that it was still able to be called new by her fellow clanmates, though there were in fact, few she could call such a thing. But all the same, she was happy with her life, and knowing that her leader was alive and well could only bring further happiness.
And so, she sat there, looking down into the gorge now, watching the camp stir with cats as they began to awake, and set about the daily tasks.

Stonepaw: Stonepaw weaved through the sun-bleached grass, his mind swirling, deep in thought. He shuttered as he recalled his dreadful dream. Why must I bear this weight on my shoulder, Why am I haunted with these dreams, What have I done to deserve this fate?,He thought sullenly to himself. Suddenly a familiar mew played through Stonepaws ears, making him forget his troubles, lifting his heart. He couldn't help but purr with delight as he watched Creampaw, his best friend, practically dance/trot up to him, tripping over her own feet. Her fur cream swirled coat was shining from the sun's rays and her head was held high and her chest sticking out. Instinctively, Stonepaw crouched into a pouncing position and sprang upon Creampaw, yowling with glee.Creampaw: Creampaw hid in the dry underbrush that was scattered with beautiful specks of green grass, shooting up from the dew-dropped ground. She was perfectly hidden, making no movement or sound, waiting for the right moment to spring. Finally she caught a whiff of what she had been waiting for. Springing from her hiding place, Creampaw ran toward her prey. To overwhelmed with happiness, Creampaw failed her attempt in a surprise attack and pranced up to her best friend Stonepaw, tripping over her own feet. Letting out a ferocious yowl, the young apprentice pounced upon Stonepaw, who easily knocked Creampaw over. Hissing and laughing, both ended up somehow rolling up a hill toward the Skyrock, Where Dovewing lay.

Dovewing sat there, watching a small patrol of two cats set out on a patrol, or maybe even a hunting patrol. And most like,ly, when they returned, there would eb another patrol of the oppsite mission that would need to take place. Perhaps that's what I'll do once I'm finished here, Dovewing thjought to herself as she watched the small group move off into the distance, and soon out of sight. It was then that she saw a couple tabby kits wrestling together, with their mother watching nearby whilst cleaning her paws every now and again. At the sight of the two kits playing, her heart ached a little. If only I could experience something like that... she thought, letting a small sigh escape from her as she continued to watch over the rest of the clan.
It had always been a dream of the beautiful cream colored she-cat to have a family. She wondered what it felt like, to have a couple innocent little bundles of energy and life rely on her, come to her for answers and comfort. She wondered what it would feel like, more so, to be loved by another. She had been loved by both her parents. But she wanted to know what two other types of love felt like. She wanted to know what it felt like to have a mate. To share passionate moments and gestures with, to know that there was always smeone there at your side, through everything. She wanted to know what that unconditional love felt like... But at the time, she could think of no one whom she had feelings for, or at least not in such a strong way.
As she drifted within her thoughts, she soon heard the sound of wrestling and playing. She turned her head, and sure enough there were the two newly named apprentices, Stonepaw and Creampaw. She smiled and laughed lightly as she watched then, moving into a sitting position, baby blue eyes glowing as they moved about. But they were apprentices. And apprentices without mentors for that fact. So they really had nothing more to do than play around. But perhaps that would soon change. Perhaps she would be able to mentor one of these rambunctious young souls.
" You two still acting like kits, are you?"
Her voice was sweet and happy, as well as teasing. She didn't ever say anything mean or rude. She was named for her beauty and her gentleness, known to be perhaps one of the sweetest cats in the clan. But she never gloated about this, and she was ust as fierce and strong a warrior as any. And so, she lokmed on between Stonepaw and Creampaw, patiently waiting for their replies.

Stonepaw: Stonepaw looked up from his play-fighting and met the baby blue eyes of Dovewing, who was perched on the Sky Rock, and held her gaze. Her Soft creamy fur was shining in the morning sunlight and Stonepaw replied with a smooth mew and a "Hello Dovewing, glad to see you today." . He always felt respect and understanding for this sweet she-cat for some strange reason, maybe it is because he thought of her as the most normal cat in his clan, meaning there was nothing wrong with her, no mental disabilities or anything like that. Maybe it was because she reminded him so much of Creampaw, his best friend in the whole entire world. They were both cunningly beautiful, smart, and caring and gives off a welcoming and safe vibe. Stonepaw Sat on the dew- dropped grass while Creampaw brushed against me purring and mewed to to Dovewing with her head looking down at the ground. Creampaw: Creampaw looked up at Dovewing, a beautiful she-cat sitting upon the Sky Rock, and mewed, but did not meet her gaze. Her loving and passionate heart now burned with sickening jealousy for the Beautiful she-cat. Although Creampaw hated this feeling and was so ashamed of it, she couldn't help it. She hated the way that Stonepaw looked at Dovewing. Every time his eyes gleamed and he always held her gaze and stared at her with an emotion that she could not quite put her paw on it. Why didn't Stonepaw look at her like that? What was she doing wrong? Creampaw was so loyal to him and is always there by his side, for crying out loud she was his best friend! Trying to distract Stonepaw, Creampaw brushed up against him and rubbed his cheek, purring.

Dovewing always wondered what it would have been like to grow up through kithood and enter into apprenticehood with another cat ever so close to your heart, as Stonepaw and Creampaw were. It was always apparent when the two apprentices were together that Creampaw wanted more from him, and yet Stonepaw couldn't see it. Her heart went out to the little4 she-cat. And she felt ever so tempted to whisper into her ear sweet words of encouragement. But the two together pulled at old memories... She remembered asking her own mother when she was but a kit if she was the onloy one born... But she also remembered the sadness when she learned that she had a sister, but she had not been able to live very long... And when she was brought back to that part in her past, she felt sorrowful and somewhat alone. But she knew that her sister was with Starclan, and perhaps nevewr too fara way from her. And this thought always brought back happiness and cheer to Dovewing.
She met Stonepaw's gaze, and smiled sweetly. He looked at her with admiration, always seeming so content and happy near the faded crimson and cream she-cat. But she knew there could be nothing. Not only was Dovewing far too old to feel love for the young cat, but Creampaw wished to be his. When she heart Stonepaw, she smiled and laughed pleasantly.
" You two have mentors, yet?"
Without the leader here, she knew the odds were slim.. But she still felt curious. They needed to get started on training, or else they wouldn't become warriors. Having no leader around gave Divewing a bit more edge, but she remained calm and cool. She heard Creampaw mew, but her gaze never met Dovewing's. But the she-cat felt sympathy for the young apprentice as she rubbed up against Stonepaw. She then waited to see who would reply to her words.

Stonepaw: Stonepaw's eyes shone with excitement. "My mentor is Falconcry." Stonepaw admired Falconcry, although he was a bit slow and strange and he was determined to show Falconcry that he will be one of the best warrior in skyclan. With the thought of his mentor in his mind he remembered that He and Creampaw shouldn't even be at the Sky rock without his mentor, but at least they were with a warrior. Stonepaw was very troubled with his mentor's weird ways and often felt pity for him, but he always tried to look on the good side, like Falconcry was a very good jumper and was usually in a good mood.Creampaw: Creampaw smiled at the thought of her mentor. She had a very odd relationship with Moonleaf. Creampaw loved her mentor but was also deathly afraid of her.Her weird moods and ways and crazy hallucinations fascinated Creampaw. Creampaw purred as she spoke "My mentor is Moonleaf." She often wondered if Moonleaf is really qualified to be a mentor, for she is not quite right, but the young she-cat still respects her. Creampaw heard the lovely knocking of a woodpecker gnawing away on a tree and her ears instinctively perked up, the young apprentice has not gotten a lot of time to hunt or practice her battling skills since their leader mysteriously disappeared or something.Attachments:

Mentoring an apprentice was as close as Dovewing would ever get as far as interaction with youth was concerned. There was no chance, not even in the near future, that Dovewing would have kits. She had no mate, no interest in any of the toms in Skyclan... She just, wasn't interested at the time. It sort of stung her, but she knew that she would just have to wait until something kindled between her and one of the toms. Perhaps things were just too awkward, seeing as their leader had vanished. It was a perfectly liable reason for no one really feeling anything for another clanmate. Maybe the bothering fact that Phyicstar was just unsettling her more than she was aware of, thus blinding her from noticing any attraction toward her from one of the toms. But all the same, there was that small part of her that so desperately wanted to know what it felt like to be a mother, what it felt like to have innocent, small, defenseless lives depending on her, loving her unconditionally. She wondered what it felt like to know that there was someone beside her always, some strong tomt hat would give her everything that he could, and she in return. But she knew the saying that was all too familiar, was in fact true. Sometimes, the greatest things in life are worth waiting for. And so, she would just have to be patient.
She heard Stonepaw speak, and smiled. And soon after, Creampaw replied to her question. She smiled to the young she-cat, before looking between the two of them.
" That's grand to hear. I was afraid, with Phyicstar missing, you two hadn't been given mentors, yet."
She glanced over the edge of Skyrock, searching for the cats which were the mentors of the apprentices, yet couldn't spot them. Surely they hadn't left camp without their apprentices? She turned back to Stonepaw and Creampaw, her baby blue eyes questioning.
" Where are your mentors, then? Are they still in the warrior's den?"
