Frankly, Echosong was bored. The herbs were well stocked, no cat was sick, and there was nothing that needed her immediate attention. Sitting in the sun didn't sound fun, but she didn't want a cat to get ill or hurt while she was gone. The likeliness of that happening however, were not very high. The she-cat gazed at the camp's entrance, then at the almost-empty camp, then stood up, tail twitching. If I go out for just a little bit, no one will worry. I don't have an apprentice yet, so I could just say I was going out for herbs.. She smiled slightly, then padded forward, glad to finally have an escape from the camp. The she-cat made her way toward the river. Wetting her paws would be nice, and she could probably find some horsetail to make it look like she really had gone out for herbs. Nothing strange about a medicine cat going out, right? Echosong looked around again, then smiled. She was alone now, and no one had followed her out of camp. Absolutely perfect.
As she she neared the stepping stones, she waded out into the river, enjoying the cool feeling of the current on her paws. After standing there for a moment, the medicine cat jumped up to sit on top of the stones. Echosong stared into the swiftly moving water for a moment, then lifted a single white paw to dip in the river water. It was then that she'd noticed a fish, a little farther away from the stepping stones. She blinked, then let out a happy purr. Bringing back prey, too! Haha, This is going all according to plan. What she forgot, however, is that she never learned how to hunt. Going with what she'd seen the warriors do, she attempted to scoop the fish out of the water and onto the stones.
What she didn't account for was that her claws would miss the fish.
Echosong yowled with surprise as she fell into the river face first, then hissed as she stood in the shallower water, soaking wet and shivering. Okay, it's official. I'm a mousebrain. Echosong climbed up onto the stepping stones again, planning to let the sun dry her fur for now. Going back to camp soaking wet wouldn't be good, and she hadn't had any herbs- Wait, that might've been a good excuse. She sighed, letting the sun's rays warm her pelt. It didn't matter now. Lying wasn't good anyway, she could go back with honesty. Right?

Tawnypelt noticed Echosong jump ontop of some rocks. The medicine cat was smiling. She was dipping a white paw into the water. The wind gently brushed her tortioushell fur as Tawnypelt watched. It looks like Echosong was happy just to be out of camp. Then she noticed Echosong had missed a fish."Trying to hunt huh"?Tawnypelt waded into the shallows."Echosong"?Splash!Echosong had fallen in.Tawnypelt turned and leaped in.Tawnypelt mewed:Are you okay".Her blazing amber eyes swept over the medicine cat."Do you need to find some herbs"?Her ears were flat as water washed over them. She swamm up to Echosong offering a shoulder.Tawnypelt`s whiskers twitched.Giving up Tawnypelt pushed Echosong onto shore.Tawnypelt collapsed onto shore, side heaving. Her shoulder was covered in blood.Tawnypelt stilled, only the tip of her tail twitching. The blood stained the ground. Her ears were not straight up.She pushed her chest off the ground with her frontpaws. She let out a hiss of pain. She finally hauled herself onto all four paws.Just great.OW!she gasped.
