Faero is a site that differentiates itself from other roleplaying sites in a variety of ways. We do not throw the standard 'beat eight gyms and then face the elite four' nonsense at you, instead we offer a well-thought out and immersive setting and a quest for survival. We also do not require you to wait for days or even weeks for a moderator to finally reply so that you can capture a new Pokémon; we have a fun system that allows you to capture a new random Pokémorph every day.
So why join? Why not take a look at the list below?
•An immersive setting in the world of Faero. •Develop Pokémorphs as interesting secondary characters. •Capture new Pokémorphs using an easy-to-use hunting system. •Buy new skills and evolutions with a single click. •Meet new friends!
The setting might not appeal to everybody out there, but if you give it a try, we're certain you won't regret it.
Faero is a large continent where half human and half Pokémon creatures known as Pokémorphs roam freely and threaten the fragmented human societies. Technology has not yet fully developed and humans are scattered throughout the region in small tribes, leaving them drastically outnumbered and outclassed. If you enjoy a setting where life isn't a piece of cake, and characters face a harsh reality in which they must fight to survive, then Faero may very well be that mature touch you were looking for to make the Pokémon genre truly shine.
Luckily enough, humans have always been a crafty species, for brawl alone is not enough if they hope to withstand the savage beasts that dwell outside of their homes. Many generations ago Naduro the Wise heard the answer to their problems in the whispers of the wind, and that answer was shamanism. Through hallucinative elixers called Sapta, made from grinded herbs, mushrooms, sand and water, shamans contact the spiritual realm for assistance, and with their help Naduro became the first of the shamans.
By subdueing Pokémorphs long enough to brand them with a runic tattoo known as the 'capture sign', shamans can bind the will of Pokémorphs to their own, slowly forming a bond over time. With danger in every corner of the lands of the past, shamans may very well be the key to survival for humankind. Luckily enough, many aspiring shamans have risen to the call.
Will you answer it too?
